Golf

Enjoy a round of golf (9 or 18 holes)* on the Ausable Club 9-hole course. The Newton Family will also be hosting a putting contest on Friday morning for all interested (see itinerary).

Head to the Golf Shop where the pros will set you up. No tee times necessary! 

NOTE: Collared shirt is required. ​

Golf Course Hours:

Friday: 8-4pm

Saturday: 8-3pm

Sunday: 8-2pm

Cart rental fees apply:

Cart Rental: $25-$33

Push Carts: $12

Club Rental: $30/set

* 1  round of golf (9 or 18 holes) OR 1 Lower Lake boat rental is included with all stays.

PLAY Tennis

Seven clay courts are available for our guests to use. See map for court locations.

 

Rackets & balls are available free of charge. Please see front desk for details and access.

NOTE: Tennis whites are required to play.

Lawn BowlS

All equipment is available free of charge in the Lawn Bowls Hut near the Club Porch. 

NOTE: There is no dress code required for lanw bowls, but flat, rubber-soled shoes are required to protect the green. 

Hiking & Swimming from the Ausable Club

Beaver Meadow Falls
Walk ~2 miles up the (flat) Lake Road on foot (or ask the bus driver to drop you off at the sign), then .5 miles towards the Ausable River for a 60-foot cascade waterfall. Great lunch spot! 

Swimming Hole
Follow the trail just behind the AMR gatehouse, cross the first small wooden bridge, and scramble down the boulders for a refreshing cold plunge!

NOTE: The area boasts numerous breathtaking hikes, including New York's 46 "High Peaks." Check out AllTrails.com (or chat with any of the Rueppels) for tips!

Hiking & Swimming from the Lower Lake

Take the bus from the Clubhouse  (see schedule below) to access the stunning Lower Lake and its proximity to some of our favorite trails!

Indian Head

(pictured - our recommendation!)
Take the trail behind the Boathouse leading .8 miles up (730-foot elev gain) to an iconic view.
 
Rainbow Falls
Follow the trail over the dam for the .3-mile hike to the dramatic 150-foot waterfall. 

Boat Rental

Take a guide boat or canoe out for a row on the Lower Lake. The wardens at the boathouse will set you up!

NOTE: Bring a swimsuit + towel to dive off the docks after your Lower Lake adventures! 

Swimming towels are available at the front desk.

Fishing

 

The Ausable River is home to some of the best trout fishing in the east!
